Have you ever known anyone in your life time to have cancer? Most likely the answer is yes, right? It's an illness so ugly, you wish it never existed! It affects our grandmothers, girlfriends, husbands, wives, uncles and friends. Cancer does not discriminate. It can affect anyone...sadly...
About 7 months ago, our beloved friend and fellow dancer, Kristal Wei was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the young age of 28. And after many months of battling the illness with surgery and chemotherapy treatment, she is a SURVIVOR!!! :D She is strong and we've all seen her through the worst of times yet she is a fighter and a great inspiration to all of us. Showing incredible strength, courage, and hope, it isn't without the support of friends, family and the community that she continues to conquer on her journey.
And like all journeys, once we reach a destination we must continue to the next thing right? So now that Kristal has 'rang the bell' and completed her last chemo treatment, it's time to PARTY!!!! In honour of her and many others who have/are battling cancer, we are hosting a SALSA FUNDRAISER called, "Esperanza", a spanish term meaning "hope".
Please join us on the evening of Sunday, May 1st, 2011 for an incredible night of dancing, entertainment and most importantly, a FEEL.SO.GOOD moment =)

The Venue: The owner of THE RICHMOND, located in the heart of Toronto
has graciously donated the use free of charge. The event
space is not only beautiful, it's elegant, stylish and has the perfect

The Music: DJ Ale (of Corporacion Sabor) and Flow n Motion DJs Duck and Mista Tdot will be spinning the
best of Salsa, Bachata, Chacha and a little bit of everything else.
** Live Jazz/funk music will also be available during the reception
